A new update at the English Drakensang site titled 'Tulamid elementalists on the march':
Summoning elemental servants is a specialism of the Tulamid elementalist. Trained at the “Pentagram Academy of Rashdul”, they are masters of the six Aventurian elements: fire, water, ore, air, humus and ice. At the academy, they learn to command the elements and summon powerful fiery companions from the elemental planes.

Find out about the “Tulamid Elementalist” and the two specializations “the Metamage” and “the Alchemist”.

Ever heard of Grimmtooth Castle? This ancient fortress is built on the mountain of the same name on the west coast of Aventuria. The land is currently full of rumors about recent events at the mighty castle.
As usual, we can't link directly because of the silly Flash, so head to the official site and choose the 'Game' menu.
More information.

I got and played the demo last night and was pleasantly surprised- this looks like it will be a surprise gem. Will it be released in the US or will I have to buy it from an importer?

Not surprised because you've been playing it in Europe?
Or just didn't like it?

It's only available in the German speaking countries yet.

Not surprised because RPGDot / RPGWatch reported about the game quite often and because it's exactly what was promised, I think.

There's nothing to worry. The demo is just half of the tutorial. Certainly the slowest and also weakest part of the game. If you liked it (I did too), you can look forward to another 60 hours of quality gaming.

What gorath said...I have been following it for awhile. And the original trilogy of games were awesome. I will not play more then a few minutes of the demo, don't wanna spoil the game.

Maybe you should wait for the UK version. Could be cheaper.

Please, do NOT compare Drakensang with the trilogy !

Both are very different beasts, so to say !

You'll find very few similarities in both games - except of underlying things, like Magic and the main Religions there.

Not only has the rule set changed drastically, but also this game takes place in a totally different part of the in-game world !

60 hrs is good
I hadn't heard much about the game and not a lot of posts here about it. It plays sort of like Neverwinter only the I think the camera is far superior. Plus most of the areas are loaded in one shot instead of the anoying waits each time you come to a simple door as in Neverwinter. Not much coming out in RPG for a long while so this game looks like it might fill quite a void for me

I realize that, I was just going by past use of the world, and even if it had some similiarities it would be good.

If you still remember things from the past games, then you'll have a slight advantage over newbies, that of course.
