Stuff like this just makes me even more inclined to leave it at least a year before playing anything major, glad I've not had the chance to start this yet
Generally still buy stuff new or kickstartered to support the developer, but I feel like I miss out playing something new as I won't come back to it for enhanced content or DLCs.
