That's right, my bad. English is not my native language so at times I can get lost in translation, or in using alien idioms and akward structures. I was instead trying to say something more along the lines of if you were to say that, etc. Think of it as positioning a piece in such a way it denies certain future movements until the piece itself is taken by your side.
Though it is kind of a personality flaw of me that I tend to turn all my opponents on a given debate into a formless and undifferentiated you, the enemy and end using preventive strikes against the wrong person, so I'm sorry if I did that either right now or at some other point.
