I don't think I've played Unreal 1 since the late 90s. I have been wanting to go back to it for some time though. I've read a couple of reviews and it doesn't seem to have been a huge hit at the time. Epic first made their glory with Unreal Tournament. Unreal II is as far as I recall pretty average so my recommendation would be to skip it unless you really don't have anything else to play.

Unreal 2, no. Unreal 1 is still pretty fun, although it bogs down about halfway thru.
Quake 1 was much more fun. Although I remember Unreal 1 at the time was extremely pretty and I had to upgrade my whole system to run it.

Unreal 2 is somewhere on the better end of average. Decent game, nothing really wrong with it … but also very mainstream.

There's a texture upgrade for Unreal out there somewhere.

Daily deal at Steam is Giana Sisters - Twisted Dreams. Very beautiful jump & run by the former Spellbound guys. Their Ravensdale Kickstarter will go live soon.

GetLoadedGo has a 2 games for 8$ deal. The Cave in it, among others.

Alan Wake plus add-on are on sale at HumbleBundle.

On my side it says 3.6€ for Alan Wake complete.
It's a console port of something that would be a mediocre adventure if was on PC, right?
But then again, for such price, lower than common ME overpowered itempack DLC… Can't skip it. Bought.

EDIT:
On GMG there is some odd looking game that's currently very cheap:

Anyone played that one?
