I'll give a chance to a few more episodes though.
Yep, I'm in the same boat. The premiere was a big meh. I've got the second episode recorded but haven't watched yet. I'm planning on getting the 3rd episode recorded and then watching them back-to-back. If that doesn't catch my interest, I'm afraid I'm punting.

I don't understand the 3 month break the networks are putting in shows during the holidays now. Revolution lost me by taking all that time. Quality-wise, it was hanging by a thread for me and that huge gap was sufficient to let me off the hook. Lots of shows are doing that now. I understand that viewership goes down during the holidays, but I don't get waiting until March/April to fire back up. Seems like most shows, even the wildly popular ones, are committing this sin.

Sorry. No pearls of wisdom in this oyster.

I was recommended Mongrels by a friend and it's bloody hilarious

Reminded me a lot of Greg The Bunny, another similar themed series which was cancelled (IMO) prematurely. DAMN YOU, FOX!

We are watching Borgen at the moment and like it a lot. It is a series about politics and how being a politician influences your personal life. In my opinion it is very well done, with believable characters. The Danish political system isn't that different from the Dutch, so that probably makes it more recognizable as well. Besides that it can even be watched if you are not into politics.

I 've also started watching Hannibal based on the titular Thomas Harris' character which is played by the amazing Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale, Valhalla Rising, Clash of the Titans).

Very creepy and quite good. Also pretty gory.

I've been watching a veru fine period drama called Selfridges; I didn't know that there really was a Mr. Selfridge who in 1908-1912 or so turned the trade and shopping on its head (or made it go topsey turvey….). It is a rather interesting period drama, starring Jeremy Piven as Harry Gordon Selfridge who comes to London around 1908-1909 with nothing but a a dream, it seems. And then builds a store, a warehouse where it seems that drive do come true. We also get to know some of the workers, and the members of Mr. Selfridge's family.

The main reason I like the series is this: It tries to saty away from the coldhearted businessman portrayal; it also shows that even Mr. Selfridge's himself has demons under the floorboards - or as we say in Danish: skeletons ins the closet. And some of those ome out at night and dance around….not literally of course…
