Tip : If you can talk to animals, then make sure to talk to Rats, too ! They actually give very useful hints ! ( Albeit from their in-game perspective, of course ! )
Rat is or was their RL main web site maintainer for long years …

I loved this ability. Very helpful indeed. I wonder if the idea was taken directly from Kevin Chan's excellent NWN module Tales of Arterra where if you were a ranger or druid you could talk to the various dungeon varmints and get interesting hints for extra treasure.

D:OS took everything from previous Divinity games, nothing from NWN.

Was there an RPGWatch-made hireling among the hirelings or do I remember something wrong ?

The Hirelings also don't have dialogs & backstory, no ?

I'm talking about The Homestead.

RPGWatch-Henchmen: Rogue Layla

-> with a mini background story (you can only read it during selection)
but no dialog in the game

Okay, thank you.

Besides, I have arrived in the forest, but I do have a bit difficulties in understanding how the quest with the attacked travellers could be fulfilled ? I have talked to the three of them ...

you need a bloodstone to cure the animal - then you can escort the three

Tales of Arterra - great memories!

A little off-topic, of course, but this had the most genuinely touching ending I ever saw in a cRPG, and that wonderful moment where you could either choose to fight for the wingless angel to remain in your party and attempt a very hardfought victory against one of the toughest foes I ever played in an RPG or timidly give her up to the powerful wizard. I chose to fight for her. I need to play a D:OS user module NOW!!! *fistpump*

I'm puzzled ( pun intended ;) ) by the Cyseal puzzle, which can only be accessed through 2 trapdoors … I'm totally clueless about that … And about the Guardian Statues as well ( I had really, really, really expected them to look like those from the game's loading / menu screens … and was so much utterly disappointed that they didn't look like Greek-style statues at all … :( )

Meanwhile I'm waiting to get another point in lockpicking so that I'll finally be able to open Evamaria's / Evelyn's door … (Strange that they used 2 different names in English & German ??? WTF ??? )

@Alrik
Take a look at the ground at the statues and you know what to do…

You can find a key for Evamaria's / Evelyn's door at her workplace

Thank you ! I was finally able to solve both ... :)
But I had to do a tiny bit of "pixel hunting", too ... ;)

A question - with heavy spoilers :

Should I solve the Cyseal Church underground thing first, and then try to follow the White Witch" path, or rather the other way round ? And I didn't follow Loiken even yet ... But I went into the Lake under the White Witch's home in Luculla Forest the day before yesterday ...Should I rather go back to the underground complex of the old Cyseal Church before following the path into ... I think it was called Hiberheim ?

I went for the witch first.
The area is not very hard except the challenging fight against a certain boss (to make that fight simple, a hint: play it as if it was co-op). And another hint - in the area with that boss, there is a pixelhunting secret spot!

btw those spoilers are not heavy. Noone who still didn't got there can't know just by reading what are you talking about. ;)
