VtM-Bloodlines - Unofficial v3.3 Patch
January 12th, 2007, 22:24
The great community work on Vampire: Bloodlines continues with an unofficial v3.3 patch being released. You can grab the 150Mb file (and full notes) from Worthplaying and here are the new additions:
- Replenished Misti's blood and repaired broken Tremere blood return.
- Awarded xp when releasing Julius and restored Ming/Fu connections.
- Made ghouling Heather easier again and added camera moving to cfgs.
- Gave katanas to Temple and Society enemies and removed respawning.
- Prevented Boris' door from closing and Dema from vanishing in view.
- Fixed hospital screams and dialogue bugs of Arthur, Cal and Pisha.
- Shortened Ventrue loading tip and some histories names to fit page.
- Removed some more flickering decals and fixed many floating props.

1. Why does this weigh 150MB?
2. Why is this called a patch, and not a mod?

Wow, Wesp is unstoppable! Go Wesp go!
Its 150 because of the Maps included, when editing and fixing problems he has to edit the Maps on many things, so that's why and as txa1265 correctly points out it's patch Not a Mod.
'
It's called a patch cause he fixes the bugs to make a the game run and play better.

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language…they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

its also that large because each version of the patch contains all prior patch fixes so you can overwrite any prior version installed or install it directly from your boxed version. though i believe it has been recommended that you install the official version 1.2 patch first.

Elwro
We asked Wesp if he could offer the Maps as a seperate download but it wouldn't work out since they are changed/re-edited for almost each patch, so it would get very confusing really quick.
If your concerned becasue you have a dialup connection there are several programs that let you restart your connection if you get disconnected, which really help out.
As an example, 3.0 was the last patch I beta tested which included all the maps iirc, so it shouldn't ever get much bigger, in an compressed state the file is 27.4 meg, the Maps 87.3 and Sound (had to fix a few mp3 files) 7.7 meg.
Now if your intrested in the uncompressed sizes the file size 44.5 meg, Maps 234 meg and Sound 17 meg.
Basicly the patch would be about 30 meg zipped or less because most of the fixes are text based, spelling errors and missing Python syntaxes to fix improper quest results.
I highly suggest you get this patch, it's a huge improvement in game experience, well worth the download even if you have to let it download overnight.

Dhruin your list of new additions doesn't show when using the dark site style.

Bart and Corwin should just admit that when it gets down to it, I will have the final say.
