Default Dragon Age 2 - Romance Options

February 15th, 2011, 12:45
BioWare has celebrated Valentine's Day by confirming the romance options for Dragon Age 2. In addition, the DA2 development team has written a short story for each of the romanceable characters. I'd quote but some readers will consider this spoiler territory. Fan site Grey Wardens also writes about the options.
Thanks, Archmage Silver!
More information.

I cant believe that the board topic has 31 pages of replies for one simple statement.
You can tell the fans are rabid again.

Romance or no, I still think the companions look a tad dull. In a world filled with exotic races, I count a grand total of 6 human + 1 dwarf + 2 elven companions. The main character is also human.

Ah well, we'll see.

Other than Anders they do all seem a bit boring.

I guess I will bang the little elf chick, should it come up. I'm a man of duty that way.

Anders is in it? You mean they allowed Alistair to keep cross dressing as a magically obsessed pirate? Bah.

Apparently Anders is now the spirit justice and left the wardens for killing Templars on his bring justice crusade.

Thank you for the massive, unwarranted spoiler.

I agree. I didn't even meet Anders yet - in any game.

To be fair, it's a spoiler from the character description on Bio's site. Clearly they don't intend it to be a surprise.

In the latest, or one of the latest thread about the romance options, I've seen, I think more than pages in this thread. One wonders, then, if Bioware Games, have begun to be more a dating simulator than an rpg?

A bit spoilerish imo.

I don't understand why anyone would want to know about stuff like this before playing the game. Wouldn't it be more interesting to discover it on your own?

Yes you have if you played the expansion called awakening. He was the sarcastic mage you recruit in the beginning.

Looking at the pictures I assume water is not used too often in the world of Dragon Age. I see no other reason why the main character doesn't ever washes that stain off from his/her nose.

They seem obsessed with having that mark and I just don't get it. It was fine in the first video I saw where Hawke seemed to be a blood-mage and making the mark looked fitting, but I really don't understand why it shows up in so many screenshots. What do they think it adds to the character? Is it supposed to be cool or something?

Maybe its a birthmark or tattoo that has meaning in the game.

Those images look ridiculous , laughable . They take out important RPG elements and focus on silly teenage soft core game porn. Next DLC is different matching panties for your character . I cant believe it come to this level of selling out.Go ahead Bioware make your money ,but your not getting mine and push those indie developers harder to make great RPGs.

I wouldn't blame just bioware most studios are adding romance or softcore porn elements. Look at TwoWorlds 2 there was scene in there also. See sex sells that is a proven fact.
