The Witcher 2 - Wins three European Games Awards

The folks over at 4players have the winners of the European Games Awards 2011, which have been presented last night in Cologne. Over 80.000 gamers from Europe did vote for their favourite games in various categories. Although it feels nice to see your favorite game gets awards, let's be real, 2011 is not over with and there are more promising games on the horizon. Giving away awards for the whole year this very moment doesn't seem realistic.

They're not. None of the categories was game of 2011. The name of the ceremony is European Games Awards 2011 simply because it takes place in 2011. Next year the ceremony will be called European Games Awards 2012

At least one of the winners came out in 2010.

Besides, people are already complaining and protesting against the advertisement of "World Of Tanks", in which they see an "glorification of war". This has also been in at least one the local newspaper.

According to this article http://www.4players.de/4players.php/…m_Werbung.html some others are against the MIG in the hall - vbecause they say it's an combination of video war games and real war. The borders between games and real life become blurred, they say.
