Funny, I thought 42 was the Meaning of Life, but you didn't really need to know that, did you!!

Sorry for googletranslate, but I don't speak russian.
https://translate.google.com/transla…kes&edit-text=

Apparently Russian government is planning to ban not just Bitcoin but any and every virtual currency out there.
Means what?
Bioware points could become banned in Russia. Gems, gold, diamonds and similar crap in MMOs and on phones too. You want to sell something in a game? Sell it for real cash, not some imaginary and uncontrolled stuff.

Steam is not afraid. Steam wallet doesn't operate with money laundry currencies.

Thank you. A post in the true spirit of this thread..

Pibbur whose small contribution is the fact that the norwegian word "fart" does not mean "fart".

Pain in the …. lower back.

Everybody has it now and then, and so does pibbur. But now there is a reason for it:

Spinal Stenosis.

His vertebral canal is significantly narrowed, and by significantly he (and the doctors having seen the MRI's) means significantly. Fortunately the damage is below the spinal cord, but there is a bunch of nerves passing downwards (the so called horse tail, or cauda equina in latin). And those nerves aren't happy, they've gone partially on strike, especially the lefties. So there's numbness in the left foot (observe that pibbur is from Bergen@Norway, and when people from Bergen@Norway talk about the foot, they either mean the foot OR the entire leg). Additionally, several muscles are affected which makes for a lot of fun whenever he decides to stand up. Sometimes also when walking.

He has been to the hospital for a preliminary exam, and the neuro surgeon said that an operation was very much in need, so they're going to slash open (they're not plastic surgeons, so loss of beauty is of minor concern) his lower back and do things to him (pibbur is fairly certain what those things are) while they're in there. Relatively soon. He hasn't got a date yet.

Oh, in these times when sharing images with everyone is what you're supposed to do, here's the significant part of the pibburian vertebral column as seen on a T2 weighted MRI image.

As you can see there's definitely something going on between the 3rd and the 4th lumbal vertebrae, and what's going on there has to be stopped (from going on), unless you want the affection to increase. Pibbur doesn't want that.

pibbur who is happy that 1) with spinal stenosis, in typical cases there's little or no pain when sitting. And 2) that pibbur is a very typical case.

Sounds and looks unhealthy.

Another thing you don't need to know : The original E.T. bicycle is now in the sports museum of Cologne, Germany …

Well Pibs, the best way to recover from lower back surgery is to lie on a sunny beach in Australia!! (and perhaps watch a little Cricket!!!!)

If God said it, then that settles it!!

Yep - there you can be bitten by poison snakes, spiders or scorpions…
… the lower back is then a minor problem…

Ouch !

Hope you're surgery goes well

Also, snake venom is good at making pain go away.

Dendrotoxins:

Dendrotoxins inhibit neurotransmissions by blocking the exchange of positive and negative ions across the neuronal membrane lead to no nerve impulse, thereby paralysing the nerves.

Today pibbur had his surgery. He's awake, alive and at the moment not kicking, but that will change when things have healed and the need for painkillers is history. Rumours have it that they - the surgeon and everybody else in the operating room - did what they were supposed to do, so that his suffering nerves now have all the Space they will ever need.

pibbur who is convinced by mr Moran not to go to Australia since People aren't supposed to be there.

Glad everything turned out well.

I would suggest getting a little bell so you can call your wife but you might end up getting hit in the head with it. :-p
