Free King Arthur: The roleplaying wargame and Rochard from IGN
Free King Arthur: The roleplaying wargame and Rochard from IGN
February 4th, 2012, 21:03
IGN is currently offering a 7 day free trial of their "prime" account, and with it comes a free copy of King Arthur the roleplaying wargame and Rochard. You also get a permanent (or so they say at least, I don't know if this one will last past your Prime subscription end date) discount code for Gamer's Gate, giving you a 15% discount on all Gamer's Gate purchases.
You can just tell IGN to not renew your subscription once you have got your free codes, just remember to do it immediately (because in 2 days they will bill you for your first subscription).
Note that they offer you steam keys, no direct downloads.

That 15% discount brings the Kingdoms of Amalur pre-order to $45
Real nice!

Indeed, that feels like it was the best part of the package, in the long run. I do wonder if this was intentional though, if they used those two free games to get people to try "prime" or if this is exploiting the system.

IGN has not removed my free promo period (and not billed me). If you are as lucky as me, you can grab Dawn of Fantasy for free from their website.
