Wasteland 2 - Kickstarter Update

A small update from Brian Fargo's twitter on their Wasteland 2 progress:

Planning to submit our #Wasteland 2 #Kickstarter page/video on Friday and then go through their approval process which we hope is short.

It feels like they've been talking too much about "we are gonna do it soon". I'm starting to lose interest.

ADHD much? It's been, what, 2 weeks-something since the announced it? They've also stated several times that they're waiting for approval from Kickstarter.

Blame it on Twitter. There's a reason I've never bothered with it.

Even if they started working on the game right now, how soon could we realistically expect to see it? Five years?

2 - 5 years i think. Probably more than 2 since it will be a small team, but they're at least buying the engine which shortens the development time substantially.

Hate to sound optimistic, but don't forget:
1. the whole team are experienced (20+ years) game development veterans
2. they all worked on Wasteland
3. the design docs are already finished

My guess is 2-3 years.

I dont think the design is even close to finished, thats why they have the Google user poll and a forum where people can come up with ideas.. They have some background for characters and story etc thats all i believe. But yes, its good they're veterans in the industry
