Via Twitter, Brian Fargo, CEO of InXile, released a concept art picture for this game.
He has this to say:

Andree created a head shot of a Ranger and came through in great style as usual. Sets the bar for in-game portraits.

Yeah, the headline should be changed. There's a big difference between concept art and an actual screenshot.

Excellent artwork. I wonder how long it took him? He's in for a boatload of work if there's a lot of character portraits.

Cool picture. There's something a bit odd about how he's holding the gun though, hmm. Left handed?

Odd indeed, guns have a more normal look when right-hand held - the standard for first person or over the shoulder perspective games.
