Chris Avellone has been interviewed in a video at Player Attack. I haven't watched the 8 minutes yet but here's their blurb:

Obsidian has never before cowdfunded a game, so what do you mean?

Edit: Ahhh, you probably mean Avellone specifically. My understanding was that she meant Obsidian with *Triple A* Developer.

Maybe they meant "resorted to this model"?
