Default Wizardry 7

I'm having another crack at Wizardry 7

Back in the day I wasn't aware of the Faerie Ninja - I try to avoid spoilers, I play honest, don't like to cheat, that sort of thing (that's how I ended up killing Minsc, but that's another story).

Since its an utter pain to try to roll 19 skill points I thought I would have a look at the cheats available. So far I've found WizEdit and DSCheat. WizEdit doesn't work on Windows 7 64 and DSCheat is a pain.

Does anyone have advice to east it?

edit: ok I've stumbled into getting DSCheat to work but I see no way to change the class with it.

I've also looked at Wiz 6 to import the character but creation there looks worse. Are the cheat programs better?

Try the Cosmic Forge Editor : http://mad-god.webs.com/cosmicforge.htm .

I know it works with Windows 7 64 because I used it last year.

AFAIK the Cosmic Forge editor doesn't allow the editing of savegames, unfortunately, since it is not a "cheat tool". I had used BaneEdit in Wizardry 6, which worked well enough. It allowed the editing of lots of character sheet numbers, but no class change either. Had to re-equip items afterwards. Don't know about Wiz7.

It doesn't allow the editing of save games, but it comes with a patch that lets you roll high stats easily. I didn't have to roll for hours when I created my characters in Wiz7.

It also comes with a patch that makes your characters rest faster. Loved that feature too.

Ah, right. Some of the patches are incredibly useful.
