In my opinion, if you're spending time doing something that could have been spent better - you're wasting time.

In my opinion, the best way to spend time in an objective sense - is the way that results in the most benefit for every living being in the universe combined and the least harm combined. Benefit is an arguable concept - but in my opinion anything that makes a living being happier is better than what doesn't make a living being happier. For one being, that's impossible to achieve in an optimal way for even a single action taken - and when you have to take into account every living being in the universe, well - it doesn't get any easier

So as I said, there's no realistic way to avoid wasting time.
