Both seem to be party based with RTwP combat.

Any views are appreciated - thanks in advance.
Play both of them. When VtM: Redemption was released in 2000 some critized it for being a linear gameplay. But it has great characters and story which spans through hundreds of years. An atmospheric vampire themed RPG.

I really enjoyed Summoner on the PC, I played it all the way to the end and I recommend it. I really liked some of the music, especially the palace theme if I remember right. Link below

I was really disappointed that Summoner 2 did not get a PC release and I was never able to play it.
The Summoner Geeks video the developers of the game released using characters from the game(and one of their other games red faction)was really funny. It used audio from a skit from The Dead Alewives. Link below

Get them both-that's the beauty of good old games. I am really enjoying my replay of Summoner. Still getting use to the speed fix that Joxer posted because it makes it hard to time my chain attacks. I played thru to the sewer confrontation last night. Still fun

I'm not getting them both. Bought only the multiplatform one.
Why would I care for the second game that's console exclusive? They can sell it to their mother including a required console to play it on.

And I did start playing briefly… Thief is coming tomorrow so can't do the whole rerun that fast. But definetly will.

I think that redman was responding to my query about which of the two games: Vampire: redemption or Summoner, to get - not the two Summoner games (the second of which is only on consoles).

Didn't mean it WAS a jrpg, but it's has many similar designs. Especially since it was the first rpg developed in the US for PS2.

Really, better than the Palace Return (Ancient Return to Lenele) ?

Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language…they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
