Google Fu says they are working on patching Gothic 3 and say they are in contact with PB.

"Spellbound is contracted to support and continue the Gothic 3 trademark. They will cooperate the Community, which has already supplied several patches. Excellent, thank you for translating. This is certainly good news - with all due respect to the community modders, there is quite a difference between what proffesionals can achieve and what the community can. Hopefully they can do some actual tweaking instead of just bugfixing - the community can cover that (and has already taken care of the most critical stuff).

Personally I am glad the publisher found the money to pay Spellbound.
They seemed to have lost it when PB offered to fix it, imagine if PB would be allowed to get paid so they could feed their families and pay their bills.
