April 10th, 2009, 19:49
BioWare has kicked up a new video and screens showing off Mages in Dragon Age:
Mages in Dragon Age: Origins command immense power and can quickly destroy their enemies with just a few words and gestures. To see the mage in action, head over to the Dragon Age gallery to check out the new mage screens and video.
More information.

Wow. Looks powerful, just how magic should be imo. Now we'll have to see how they avoid Diablo style gameplay where everything is duying left and right as the PC wades through as an avatar of destruction. With magic as powerful as it looked in that video and the fact that you don't get limited spells per day it could be a legitimate concern.

DA still not doing a thing for me. Spiritual successor or not, BG at least had multiplayer … not that I was a huge fan as the un-turnbasedness of the combat.

Yeah, that's a … difficult mixture.

There are even only a few strategy games offering this - among which is the Age of Wonders series, which even offers playing against one another via e-mail !
