I don't remember much CRPG really offering such choices. G1&G2+NOTR had interesting choice like range vs damages vs speed but most CRPG choices are to take the more powerful weapon fitting your skills, no real choice just need to change more often you weapon.
I remember having to choose between using a Katana, a bastard sword or a long sword in a game like BG. Damage vs cost vs availability… They could also play on variables such as the range of the critical hits, the critical hit multiplier, extra-attacks, material of the weapon such as silver or adamantium, type of damage (fire, ice, holy..), how ‘frail’ the weapon is, % of chance for a random event when you hit an opponent… There are so many possible options and many of them don’t even have to be on magical weapons. Drakensang, equipment-wise, is pretty bland.
