Default Dragon Age - Warden's Calling Trailer

June 22nd, 2009, 13:37
From late last week a "new" Dragon Age trailer called Warden's Calling that essentially re-mixes some old material with the New Shit music. Watch it at VoodooExtreme in SD or HD.
More information.

If it is, it would be great. I love the motive.

As for the music, why Marilyin Manson? Why not Beck ("Sexx Laws")? Or Lou Reed ("Take a Walk on the Wild Side")? Someone should redo the second half of the trailer.

I think Verdi's Dies Irae would fit the mood better.

Could be Mozart's Requiem when all is said and done.

Definitely.
Alternatively, Shostakovich´s Execution of Stepan Razin would rock too.
Infinitely more badass than MM .

Yeah.

Similarily, Prokofiev´s Dance of the Knights for the opening/title/menu screen would be nice, too.

Wow, that *does* rock. I hadn't heard that piece, thanks! (The singer has a VERY weird accent, though.)

(Or, possibly, I have — my father's nickname is Shosta, due to his taste in music, but I did my best to ignore whatever he was listening to when I was in a position to hear it, for the usual reasons. It's amazing how much Shostakovich has improved since I was a teenager, though.)

How about this one?

I am still not sure how I feel about all of this stuff. Don't know who they are trying to sell to, but it feels more like one of those M games selling to kids not old enough for T games … like Mercenaries 2 trailers or something.

The "Oh no you didn't" trailer?
I really liked that one, though have to say, mostly for the song.

Yep, would Dragon Age have combat equivalent to Carmina Burana, that´d be friggin´ EPIC.

After rewatching the romance video, I came with a possible fitting romance theme .

That was… life-transforming.

How about this one?

And for the denouement, I think this might be appropriate, not to mention suitably epic:

Yep. A toolset beta is already underway, so we may even see some community content straight away.
