Lenovo T400/T500 series

Anyone using one of these laptops? I'm considering getting a new laptop (my old 17" was a bad mistake in term of size). A friend of mine uses a HP business laptop and is pretty happy with it, but they have recently been rebranded and become a bit pricey when you include dedicated graphics. Same goes for Lenovo, but because of competition you can get some of their models at a lower price. I'm also familiar with Dell's business laptops but they've usually been too bulky (and frankly butt-ugly).
