Mass Effect - v1.02 Patch

Being slightly confused by BioWare releasing DLC without any proper lead up or announcement, we forgot to point out the accompanying v1.02 patch.

What an underwhelming patch. A few bug fixes. I don't know what I expected I guess, it's just after taking this long to come out I was hoping for a little more.

Can't recall ever encounter a bug in ME, so I have no idea what a patch is supposed to add. The only thing I did encounter was a strange graphical glitch, that was solved long ago (some texture thing).

Heh, I thought I had encountered a bug when I failed a skillcheck, despite doing all content (all xp accumulated) and pumped points in that skill every level prior to that dialogue. Turns out they did it that way to encourage replays.

This patch, along with the DLC, should have been released months ago.

Forgive my ignorance, but can this patch be applied to a version purchased through Direct2Drive?
Also, I can't seem to find the DLC anywhere. Does GFWL not "detect" D2D games?
