Inquisitor - Czech Release?
November 17th, 2009, 02:17
Hisvin writes of updates to the Inquisitor page, including a score of 80% (with some sort of Baldur's Gate comparison) that would seem to indicate the game has been released somewhere. The Czech is otherwise impenetrable to me, so if any readers want to help out, drop by the comments.

Apparently, the game has been released in Czech Republic, you can find it online here: http://www.jrc.cz/index.php?a=2&id=26266 (at 666 kč - about 25 euro, it's a fairly low budget release).
The blurb about the game there can be plugged into Google Translate, but it's so typical marketing speech it's hardly worthwhile. In any case, the game does seem to be epic in scope, with a number of 100 hours of gameplay for an "expert" player (or up to 200 if you're not hardcore enough). I'm almost getting a sort of Legacy of the Crusader vibe, based on the medieval setting and the mentions of the inquisition, though my Czech isn't really good enough to understand it all perfectly.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any mention of an english version being planned.
EDIT: The page on Facebook has an english description of the game:

• High-resolution state-of-the-art graphics
Eh…? I'm not trying to bash on it (it actually looks quite promising), but who are they trying to kid here? Those graphics would have indeed been "state-of-the-art" ……in 1999.

JDR13, to me it's state of the art. Just like Mona Lisa, for which I believe you think is just another piece of junk because it wasn't made to be used exclusively with DX11.
Just don't tell me that your RL job is an art critic in a local museum and you're worldwide known for your work.

State of the art compared to what? Sure, it looks nowhere near as good as recent AAA titles, but compared to most of the indies it does indeed look quite stellar. Speaking of which, care to name a big publisher behind the game?

You seem to be confusing graphics with artistic style. I never said it didn't look good.

it just feels 'right', you know?
Can't speak Czech, but i'm keen to play this one when they release an english version.
