Default Distance - White Fog?

September 20th, 2010, 18:58
The graphics look really good at sunset, early sunrise, and night. But during the day where there should be blue sky and occasional glimpses of the sun (unless of course it's raining), it looks like the sun has gone nova. The distance (and sky) is *bright* white. Very unpleasant on the eyes. Gothic was nothing like this. Neither was the more recent Dragon Age on this rig (which looked very nice outside). I'm using the 1.1 patch and have an nVidia GTX 285 card. Running at 1920 x 1200. Everything is turned up all the way and the 'depth of field' doesn't seem to make a difference on or off. I haven't updated my graphic drivers in several months. Is there a particular driver for my card that works better with Risen?
Pentium i7 950, nVidia GTX 285, 9GB ram, Tons of HD space, Samsung 25.5" SyncMaster T260 HD monitor, Windows 7. Thanks very much.
