I didn't purchase the article for total confirmation, but a "letter to the editor" with that (erroneous, should be "warming") title appears in the archive of that newspaper for that date.

Yep, that one's a classic, (and that's the term we use now at our house whenever the topic comes up.) It reminds me of that old Bugs Bunny line: "What a maroon!"

Thanks for the info—it's even earlier, apparently. I find a reference to it here from 2003 and also here. Apparently some sort of pro-Iraq war thing.
