Default The Totally NEW Team Corwin Thread

I used my free one on the current reset of the ship. Yes, we need to discuss and sort, then buy and bank them. I am not that concerned with the xp….guess only having one TR 1 makes me a no vote on that one. Have no clue how the xp hit works on TR2 or higher. I am ready to slow down and actually do all the quests we never touched, xp or no xp. Would like to see the whole game one day.

Bart and Corwin should just admit that when it gets down to it, I will have the final say.

Actually, we haven't done a bad job of hitting all the content, even as a group. We've never run Sentinels together. We've never run Chronoscope together. We've never run Restless Isles together (actually, I think Wouldii might be the only one in the guild that's run those quests at all). I don't remember if we actually finished Threnal as a group or not. No raids. No challenges. None of the new stuff obviously, including the "bridge to Underwhatever" series. Compared to the stuff we have run, that's actually a fairly short list.

I think we'll have a fairly "complete" run with our TRv2.0 group since the XP potion addicted among us (Peter shall remain nameless ) will also be a 3rd lifer and needing extra just to keep pace. Our TRv1.0 group has actually done most of the available content, other than the above list and a handful of house quests, so I figure a party of 2nd lifers should keep pace fairly well.

@MariMcMillan Yeah I think so on the DC thing, the traps are scaled wrong. Unsure on status of wings, but it's in the Known Issues.

And yes, there has been some … irritation regarding traps in general … Someone even claimed that the "trapbox" (you know, that box whichcontroils the trap and which can be disabled) "killed" him (his char) … And some reported that they weren't able to spot/disable them at all …

All these reports were about higher difficulty settings, especially Elite difficulties.



Just to make sure that I understand this correctly :

Guilds may use coupon SHIP75 for a 75% discount off amenities in the DDO Store.

Ahem. I finally bought me The Mediaval SIMs … And I must say that this game got me hooked ! I played the whole night through … It's 3 in the morning here now … Apart from DDO that's long, long ago that I had been playing a game through a whole night without noticing how far the hours went …

Well, to update Corwin, there is a level 20 Druid on Khyber. A quick check shows that he's a 6th lifer, with 1 Cleric, 2 FvS, 1 Sorc, and 1 Wiz past life.

Some people must sadly have no life whatsoever!! Do the maths; we played about 8 hours yesterday for what, about 65k XP? Work out how much that means for a 6th lifer to reach 20 in less than a week!!

On the other hand, after it was just you and me, it was about 3 hours and you netted well in excess of 200,000xp. Or over 2/3rds of the way to level 21.

In that same run, I netted almost 60k, and another 20k when I just finished the messages quest.

Also, I picked up some of the new items from the commendation turn ins. This, among some other swapping, got me to 420hp and 3000sp. A couple more points and she'll be taking her Draconic Heritage, and on the way to Fly by and wings!

I need to respec her, as I ate a +3 CON tome, which has qualified her for Epic Toughness. But I don't like losing the 10hp from Draconic vitality. If the LR wasn't bugged, she could have 470hp. Not bad for a pure-class Sorcerer. 460 isn't a huge drop, but it still sucks.

*Edit* I went ahead and did it. And checked my hp break down. At level 10, I have 42hp from feats. Breaking this down: Toughness 2+1/level or 12, 20 from Heroic Durability. So Obviously, I kept my Draconic Vitality.

@Alrick…….We all decided to buy an xp shrine upgrade and bank it, but someone else needs to tell you the right name….I had used mine so I don't have one to check. One of the brains here will post in this or the guild message.

I think if everyone bought something that is already fitting there, then I will - if you agree - buy a shrine of sonic resistance, if I can, and bank that, too. Just in case.

If I should do something different - then please tell me so.

(Apart from the fact that I never did buying guild ship tuff so far, except a small acid shrine when I had seen one run out (read : disappeared) months ago, and that for Plat.)

Get a greater experience shrine. We can't use it until guild level 62, but we'll have that for quite a long time. We don't have a place on the boat to put a sonic shrine.

New build for the paladin I will TR.

He sacrifices 2 levels of paladin for fighter. That gives him +1 strength from enhancement, Tower shield as automatic feat and 2 other feat slots. I picked improved shield mastery and extend.

My paladin has selected the Defender of Siberys prestige line. That gives +6 constitution and +6 strength + 20% hp at tier 3.

That means 40 strength and 34 constitution. With 34 constition the HP will be 647 and with +20% it will be 776 hp- Not bad for a paladin.

I've only read the first 3 pages of this thread, but in case it hasn't already been said, this is NOT working as intended.

As many of you have said in the first 3 pages, the traps are not in line with the rest of the dungeon. This is a bug and is getting attention here at Turbine.
