Memorizing the maps isn't at all necessary. It makes things easier and makes top notch spot/search gear less mandatory, but it's not a make-or-break requirement to run a rogue.

Spot, you can skip if you know every trap box location. Search, you can't skip. Can't find it, can't disable it.

Necro 3 ? I could join with my Cleric, he's level 13, still (since I didn't level up that much in the past weeks, and rather decided to farm in Mabar. ).

Besides, I'm slowly getting the hang on to SWTOR. During the week I might be less in DDO because of that, but in the weekends I could join, too. Or vice versa.

But anyway, I predict myself levelling slower now (again).

In SWTOR, everything is so much different, UI-wise, that I had quite some problems in the beginning.

Plus, it is bug-ridden just like DDO ! New patches *always* seem to introduce new bugs … - Just like in DDO !

The forum entries are similar as well, I noticed, plus rather fighter players insisting on the "Trinity" of Healer, Tank, Supporter/DD.

SWTOR is - as it looks to me, at least - far, far, far less diverse than DDO. DDO is like a luxury meal in terms of character diversification, so to say.

But this also means that the "TRinity Roles" are much more fixed in SWTOR than they are in DDO.

The problem of the Clerics - regarded as a "Halr class", which they actually are *not*, imho, but people refuse to see it, they prefer to turn blind against the fact that Clerics have "Turn Undead" as well - doesn't exist in this form in SWTOR, as far as I can see it.

Plus the different terminology :
"Flashpoints" = "Dungeons"
"Operations" = "Raids"

Everything is very confusing to me, but I also begin to see the similarities (SWTOR is as much combat focused as DDO is, but it is not loot-centric as that).

Rolling for loot is also something uncommon to me. I saw this for the first time in my life at the Games Com, when I was dabbling around with NWO a bit. SWTOR has it, too. Never saw it in DDO.

A different problem is brand-new to SWTOR : Gold sellers. Or the equivalent to it.
No-one knows how they went into the game, and the lists don't show them as regular players.

I suspüect that this is the source of the Gold Sellers in SWTOR.

And I wonder if they manage to get it erased. DDO managed to do it fairly good.

Can I play a druid if I don't have a VIP account? Haven't played this game in ages…

You can buy the Druid class with Turbine Points, or you can get it buy bying the MOTU Basic package, which includes this class … There isn't any other way I know of.

Correct and I think they might be on sale right now.

I'll not be around the rest of the week, including Friday. I've been put on 12 hour shift until further notice or my vacation, whichever comes first. I'll also be in Saturday for 8 hours. Since I'll be getting home around 6:30 or so, then needing to get to bed around 8, there's just not enough time to eat, shower, and play.

Next week I'm leaving early Wed. for a few days vacation, so that Friday is fine.

Trev says he might not make it either (probably has to clean up the house for the arrival of parents the next day ). Anyway, think of all the extra money you'll be making which you can spend on your vacation. Wish I got vacations!!

Ha. I'm taking my vacation now because the week of Christmas I'll be doing maintenance. It'll probably go towards a new amp. I'm looking at a Fender tube amp to go with my Christmas bonus this year; a US-made Fender Stratocaster.

Hmmm…..we all need to get together with our instruments and form a Band; we could go on Youtube and become rich and famous!!

I'm not covering any Beatles tunes. I only do Blues.

If I can't steal an axe to mangle some bass lines from the Cure, I ain't joining.

At best, I will be a couple hours late Friday. More likely, the Middle School Band Extravaganza will run long and my sole desire will be to follow up a healthy dose of narcotic cough syrup with a great deal of ineffective sleep. However, the boss works yet another weekend, so Saturday and Sunday will be possible.

Me, I'm currently totally immersed into SWTOR.

But I plan to drop in into DDO every now and then, too.
