Have you guys seen this wiki entry? Apparently Murphy was going to be a helluva lot more interesting than the background noise the game has now.

Originally Mana Murphy was going to be put in a wheelchair during development, however this meant that she could not traverse stairs. Alternative wheelchairs were designed, such as tank wheelchair and a Mister Handy carrying her, however these would be distracting.
