Asheron's Call - David Javier Interview @ Massive Gamer
Asheron's Call makes it's 100th update.
“The 100th update was the big one for us this year we actually split off some members of our team to work exclusively on 100th update content,” explained Javier by phone. The update, while a free patch, has a lot in common with a traditional expansion pack. It provided players with new systems, lands and quests. “The way we talked about it was an expansion’s pack worth of content.”
One of the biggest additions is three factions within the game world that players can join, advance within and ultimately fight for.
“Each of them is rooted in lore,” said Javier. “One is allied with the undead, one is allied with the Order of Light and one is allied with the human blood sorceress Nuhmudira.”

Asheron's Call - Throne of Destiny - Interview @ WarCry
Asheron's Call Community Director Andy Catalado answers a few questions at WarCry.
WarCry: Turbine just celebrated its 8th year with Asheron's Call. What would you consider the best incident in the past 8 years?
Andy Cataldo: I would have to say the defense of the Shard of Herald on Thistledown is still one of my favorite moments from the history of the game. Seeing players doing something that unexpected, and seeing how the team at the time reacted to it, was great.
Andy Cataldo: Housing. Not that I think housing is bad, but in hindsight there are a lot of things that I would have done differently to allow us more freedom with housing now.
WarCry: If you had a 'do-over', what would you re-do from the last 8 years?
