Inquisitor: English Site Launched
by Dhruin, 2006-08-31 22:47:00Thanks to Todd for pointing out that Wooden Dragon has opened an English site for Inquisitor. It's some time since we had any meaningful news on this title, so here's their description as a reminder:
The game Inquisitor is being developed by a new Czech team Wooden Dragon under the aegis of Cinemax, Ltd. Our common goal is to create a game that will never let the player quit until the last hellish monster or evil heretic is slain!
Inquisitor would like to reach the quality of such legends of PC RPGs as Dungeon Master, Ultima Underworld, The Elder Scrolls: Arena or Baldur's Gate.
The creators of Inquisitor were inspired by novels of well-known Italian writer Umberto Eco, especially by his famous novel The Name of the Rose. However, the inspiration lies not in the story (of course), but in a dark atmosphere and the way of story telling. On the other hand an attentive player will have a chance to find a lot of similarities with this literary masterpiece as well as with some other Eco's novels (Foucault's Pendulum, Baudolino).
