Archlord: Preview @ GameSpy

GameSpy previews Archlord, Codemasters' MMORPG-in-translation for the Western market.

Those who complain about the increasing number of "carebear" concessions in modern MMOs might just find respite in Codemasters' upcoming ArchLord. A Korean game being translated and refitted for Western audiences, many of the elements on which it builds its foundation are anathema to the casual-friendly, "take-it-at-your-own-pace" philosophies that have emerged in the wake of World of Warcraft. But for the subset of players that scoff at how the genre's developed -- and want something of a harder edge than, say, Vanguard -- something like ArchLord may be just what the doctor ordered.
