Another game we don't plan to follow but if you like the idea of taking your turn-based gaming online (and the website says it actually is turn-based), you might check out the Jagged Alliance Online beta:

Jagged Alliance Online – registration now open for beta testing!

Hamburg, October 19, 2011 – gamigo's online reincarnation of the classic turn-based strategy game Jagged Alliance will begin closed beta testing during the final quarter of 2011. Impatient strategists can already sign up for closed beta testing now. The developers from Cliffhanger Productions will also provide answers for the community in the official forum.

Registration for beta testing of Jagged Alliance Online and the official forum can now be found at jaggedalliance.gamigo.com.
More information.

To be completely honest, both this and Shadowrun (from the same developer) sound (and look) far more interesting than that sad JA2 remake, now renamed "Back in Action" or whatever.

It is sort of strange that the Online game is the one that is turn-based and the one that is off line is going real-time or whatever they call it.

I actually wish they made this one as an single player game. I'd buy it if it is like Guild Wars but if this has a monthly subscription I'm not looking any further.

Nah.. There is no real F2P in this world.

Especially this game "Jagged alliance online"

Try it for yourself. The game is almost impossible to finish if you don't spend a real money .

Review here.

Enjoy

The trailer promises things that cant be delivered with the "IgoUgo" turn sequence. You cant divert attention, you cant pinpoint anything that comes to sight with a "UgoIgo" sequence.
Nice review going for the jugular but big mistake: not much improvement to a decade old video game is not a con. It is a pro. Players want the good old same all over again. And therefore will welcome the fact that the game is just a version with updated graphics.
