Guild Wars

Does anyone else here play Guild Wars?

I've started playing it again after a year's break and it'd be nice to have someone else to play with.

Uhh yes I am, last time I checked xD Why, is that a problem? :-)

My (main) character is Lecari Luxmore if you want to say hi next time you're on.

Lecari, I and a few others used to play GW, but we have all switched to DDO as it is far more fun and far better for team play.

I play sporadically, though most of my clan are just waiting for gw2. GWs pretty much dead at this point. All you have left is endgame farm and dugeoning. Only time you see lots of people for missions nowdays is when its a ZM, some for ZQs. Nearly always thats the only time you'll find people actually doing those things :S. Hit me up when I'm online though, user name is Darth Armageddon for my ele.

That hasn't been my experience so far, it seems fairly busy in the towns and when I've needed help on a mission people seem (mostly) glad to help me out. There are generally people hanging around in mission areas. It depends when you log in though I guess.

I am disappointed that the max level is so low and is (relatively) easy to attain. But I am quite enjoying the storylines and the quests (I have all the packs). There is quite a lot of running around killing things but not so much that I get bored, and I've found quests to be challenging but not too difficult (with a few exceptions, that I just could NOT do solo!). And it's good that you can complete most missions solo (perfect for losers like me who don't really know anybody).

I've added you to my list soul0reaper, I will keep my eyes out for you!

@Gorwin - I will give DDO a look, I haven't heard of it before. :-)

There are several threads about DDO at the Watch; a couple in this forum and a HUGE one in OT called Team Corwin. The game is FREE so check it out, read the posts and ask us questions.

Thanks Corwin, I will let you all know when I set up on DDO. Expect lots of noobie questions!

Corwin December 27th, 2010 03:54

We've actually answered a bunch of newbie questions on the last few pages of the TC thread, so you might find all you need to know already posted.
