Nice one thanks alek.
I'm assuming that your having this means that you had/have something to do with Deep Shadows, so do you know what happened to them? And more importantly will they make any more games? |

Uh… what is this?
Edit: Oh, now I see what it is by reading the link. Cool stuff! |
Hm, can anyone get to the offline activation for this build?
|
Is this any different then the build from gamersgate? I see it is english from watching the Youtube video. I wonder if it has any of the pulled features in it like the ship boarding.

Wesp5- what is that thing, sort of a prototype or enhanced version? I played the Trivium version 1.1 and so much stuff is missing like seen in all topics of that forum eg with the factions and the storyline, so that version has a lot more details and so called "made with love", no intermissions, no real story line in the beginning but more factions, sleepiness level and really more things like you missed at the official versions, is that translation made by you? also all the settings aren't anymore in public documents folder but at least the saves inside the main folder, it runs without postprocess folder on my 5750 ATI and graphic / effects are way better and mo flickering at all, I can't change the settings for video, controls etc, is that the real thing or just some enhanced beta version?

I just installed it and after that disabled the Firewall settings for the *.exe as per the readme, no keygen was necessary -just to make sure you click thru by installing as default, no changes and nothing else was needed, also after the first (real) enthusiasm I've seen a way more comprehensive postprocess folder and certain *ini files to do changes of all settings in here, it starts with the intro movie which on same name can be found in the video directory and then directly goes to the training planet like in the original but without video sequences at all. so for me it looks great but rather this one is based on the Vital 2 engine like Boiling Point, I see many similar things to it, can you find out what engine this is coz all features are going more like BP, as you have seen the Cinema movie of PC in the Hotel at White Gold it is the same thing to play, I found some savegames which elevates you to different locations, make it playable for everyone, that surely will do some new and maybe better features for it, more low res shots with this reply.

It apprears similar to the Vital2 engine coz too many references to BP, even though key-bindings in Controls.ini are showing to i.e. looking on the wrist watch which was in BP only, sleepyness level doesn't rise yet, I started playing it and still I am on Goldin, way more comprehensive, lots of more missions and more logic gameplay like the final version where too many things are missing. final PC took many NPC's from WG, just a bit modified, this build has it's own ones solely, also I noted that precursors.exe stays active ones you quit the game and need to be closed manually like read in other topics, so that surely is the Vital3 even in an earlier stage.
Zooming- binoculars and scope rifels- can zoom in but not out anymore, traders offering a lot of weapons and upgrades but with incomlete specs, so all a bit in the beta shoes. I've checked the savegames but compared to the intro movie these are all saved locations needed for the movie but not really playable, there is no map accessible at all but when starting a new game there is, I will go further and let you know once reaching space for accessing the planets which you've asked for. vehicles- on taking the savegame from Reandore I would be able and fly a Heli but chances are 4% only and no picklocks in the pocket yet. Will check on another PC for the solution to run it w/o even using the keygen, I've firstly installed it on a newer laptop with ATI and it runs super fluid even with FSAA, not sure what made it accessable for me, don't have your experience level but I would be happy if you get it running to a good stage without all those setting-bugs, it is really worth to have a look on it and much more like the final WG clone. |

Is there anyway to get one's hands on this build. I tried it with the Gamersgate serial number and was not able to get it to work. I am starting to fill cheated knowing there was a better quality/looking game out there and we seem to have been given an older version.

My conclusion is to have the pre-release and final version from Trivium installed both, since I am not having Internet every day but Email only I recently wrote below message to Wesp5, maybe that can help you further- With regards to recent forum discussions about Precursors release version- To get it running- do you have the Trivium 1.1 Version?, get this one from any source and install to folder e.g. Games/ Precursors, use the attached keygen even if the game could run without it, after that install the alpha version to default path, it should run coz it probably takes the registration from the Trivium version, that is the only explanation how I could get it running, maybe already the keygen only will work. Accessible planets Neglektik and Limpid- cannot reach them because the space system has no map-view but as you said, there is clear material that those ones are included to the game as same from the preview movie discussed at the forum, the crane is on the Island planet and not on Gli, that is for sure, space stations are unfinished and some is more some is less compared to the final release, even though at final release the Planet Neglektik is mentioned but cannot be “opened” to land at any mission. Else the version is in an early stage, I’ve doctored around for some time and tried to access the space map by combining both versions and using save-games from the other one but no way, even I’ve seen first person view inside buggies and a lots of fancy things around and this thing is good and maybe you could get it combined somehow, I used some textures from alpha to final and it works but as I said, my experience is too low for making something serious out of it, hope you can get it running and accessible, it is worth to do (shots attached). |

This is inside the first space station after departing from Goldin, so the architecture is quiet different, that is supposed to become the disco like on any other station around but as you can see that the makers haven't finished it.

I got it to work Interzeptor but is there anyway to change the controls?

The controls maybe can be changed by directly accessing the control.ini file but I couldn't get it to work, as we now this is an incomplete alpha version and the settings menu is disabled, Wesp5- malik said he got it working onto my advise to install it after the Trivium version- isn't that working with you?, assume that you use a german-language based machine?

Wesp5- who is this alek which has linked us to that version? Not sure if there is something more to get but with this one we've downloaded and no further info it will stay a big riddle as same with the 2 missing planets you have mentioned, right?
