The GOG special might be of more interest, with all the Ultima games on sale plus other EA classics: http://www.gog.com/promo/ea_weekend_promo_030513

Is it just me or it seems that almost all the older ones were better than the newer ones?

Nice!

I got myself 13 classics ;)

If there's someone out there who hasn't played BioForge - NOW is the time.

It's sort of a cross between System Shock and Resident Evil/Alone in the Dark - and it has a fantastic story.

speaking so steam sales, anyone know if a big one coming soon? may be spring sale or something?

Did I mention that you guys should be playing BioForge? DO IT!

I recommend using OpenGL renderer, correct aspect ratio and "advmame2x" filter for DOS games. You can launch the configuration tool from the install directory.

Just because I love this game so much - I'll do one last bump for it.

Also, I forgot to mention that it's VITAL to read the "Field Personnel File" - as it contains a wonderful introduction to what's been happening in the game.

In that same way, you should definitely read every single log you come across in the game - as there's a lot of text and it's very well written.

I think it may just be my favorite game in terms of story and writing. Close enough, anyway.

The controls are rather awkward at first - but you'll soon get the hang of it. The worst part is probably the limited angles caused by the pre-rendered scene approach of the game. If you've played Resident Evil or Alone in the Dark - you should be quite familiar with it.

Again - for less than 3 bucks - this is a must try!

"No one's favourite book is the 17th in the series"

I would say the one exception is Wheel of Time who's fifth is book is the best, the first book is subpar, and the 14th book outdoes 1, 4, 6-13.
