Need Help With GOTY Awards

Thanks for the vote and your reply's everyone to my other poll. :worship:

Now If any one wants to help me further take a look at the two lists. Now pick which ones you think from 2013 should be in the poll for Best RPG. Also please pick a few for most promising RPG.

Now remember. I'm only one man with limited technical know how, and this is my first time doing something like this. So don't get mad at me if it takes time to assemble.:embarrassed:

2013 RPGs

Spoiler – List of RPGs

2014 RPGs

Spoiler – List of RPGs

I'm fine with adding more If I missed any, and will stop taking recommendations next week. Hopefully I get a decent top ten list for the polls.

Nameless one January 9th, 2014 23:53

2013 RPGs

Path of Exile
Paper Sorcerer
Avadon 2: The Corruption
Expeditions: Conquistador
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Mars: War Logs
Aarklash: Legacy
Van Helsing I: Complete Pack
Driftmoon

Many of game from your list are not RPGs at all(like bioshock, eador etc). And also I think ROTY poll should not include expansions and HD/Complete editions

Nyx January 9th, 2014 23:55

As for top 10 2013 I'm afraid I can't make a list out of it since I haven't played most of them or they are not in my opinion worthy of a top10, such as Neverwinter.
However Path of Exile and Rogue Legacy are by far the top 1 and 2 out of that list. And sorry for not having a more comprehensive list.

As for most anticipated 2014 I'll do the following order:
1. Divinity: Original Sin
2. Sui Generis
3. Cyberpunk 2077 (is this really set for 2014 though?)
4. Dragon Age: Inquisition
5. Dark Souls II
6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
7. Kingdom Under Fire II
8. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
9. Blackguards
10. South Park: The Stick of Truth

I took the games off our site. I firmly believe as many others do that what makes an RPG is very subjective. They are both general lists that I can change and edit.

Nyx January 9th, 2014 23:59

Does it have to be PC games or can I add a PS4 game to my 2014 list?

They should be for the PC as the site is mostly for CRPGs. Anyone can make suggestions about adding or taking more off. I'm listening to feedback.

SpoonFULL January 10th, 2014 00:05

2013:
Mars: War Logs

2014:
Pillars of Eternity
Bound By Flame
The Mandate
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Dark Souls II
Grim Dawn
Legend of Grimrock 2
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
Underrail

Nyx January 10th, 2014 00:09

added Kingdom Under Fire 2 to my 2014 list (not on your original list). It's been a rather bumpy progress but it's aimed for 2014 this time around at least.

Corwin January 10th, 2014 00:42

Underrail hasn't been released yet and wasn't Inquisition released last year? I remember reviewing it.

Underrail should be out this year, and Inquisition was released in 2012.

Thrasher January 10th, 2014 00:53

Here's my 10 most promising list for 2014 (in no particular order). I have no idea which are most likely to actually be released in 2014.

South Park: The Stick of Truth
Pillars of Eternity
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Torment: Tides of Numenera
Dark Souls II
Age of Decadence
Legend of Grimrock 2

Pretty much mainstream fare…

wolfing January 10th, 2014 01:42

Kostas January 10th, 2014 04:48

Shouldn't expansions/DLCs(/re-releases??) get their own category as in the past?

Usually Myrthos does it every year but he is busy. This is my first time ever doing this, and it will be different this year. I'm open to suggestions.:anxious:

Last year we had four categories. Kickstarters have changed things this year also.

I simplified it into two instead.

Pillars of Eternity
Wasteland 2

NFLed January 10th, 2014 08:59

Wow what a terrible year for cRPGs 2013 was, seeing this list. 2014 looks very good, though.

DArtagnan January 10th, 2014 10:05
