RPGWatch Forums - Shining Empire - Second Kickstarter Failed

The second Kickstarter for Shining Empire has failed to get funded. The developer Arcade County released a press release saying they would cancel the game if funding failed.

Well according to the latest update the game still has a slim chance due to one backer investing a certain of money. Here are the details from the update.

I know it sounds crazy, after I wrote it off as dead just a few days ago, but the tide MIGHT be turning. I recently had a very generous Shining Force fan commit $2k to the development of SE. I'll make a decision within 48 hours on what I'm going to do. We've gotten $1.5k in contributions both times, so I may try a third time and lower the amount to that ($1.5k) and work from there. That should be enough to get the game just about finished and at least get the beta going. After that, another smaller kickstarter could run to finish the game off.
