Nekro - On Steam Early Access

We have been informed that the game Nekro is available on Steam Early Access. We have also been told the following:

Quote:

Nekro, i’s shaping up to be a fitting, if twisted, spiritual offspring of seminal titles such as Dungeon Keeper, Myth: The Fallen Lords and Giants: Citizen Kabuto. In the game players summon demons and spawn unholy weapons of war as a gleefully evil Necromancer with an insatiable blood lust for the innocent and corrupted alike in this darkly humorous, old skool blend of action RPG and strategy genres.

Customize your minions and perfect your ideal ‘fiendish loadout’ as you tear your enemies limb from limb, harvesting their twitching corpses to strengthen your powers. Legions of twisted abominations await your command in Nekro. Revel in the slaughter of the King’s corrupted lackeys as you uncover the alternately sinister and chuckle-worthy history of your creation. Manipulate the flesh and souls of those who have passed beyond the veil. Use the sins of the fallen to unlock new summons and customize their skills in an ongoing battle of supremacy between the Undying Legions and The Order.

Further tailor your experience by equipping different Powersets for any of the four Necromancer classes, unlocking varied new Nekro abilities on your journey. Feast on the blood of the slain as you wade through their entrails, giggling quietly to yourself.

More information.

"…spiritual offspring of seminal titles such as Dungeon Keeper, Myth: The Fallen Lords and Giants: Citizen Kabuto."

Huh. That's pretty random. How do you create the spiritual successor to 3 games that are not very much alike?

To me it looks more like a cross between Overlord and Warcraft 3.
Anyway the game seems rather interesting and I'm curious to find out how will the final product come out.
