Best DLC Ever?
I just finished it a few minutes ago.
I rarely say anything is the best but this was the best single player DLC I have ever played. Wow. Fallout 4 better be on top of its game to even come close. |
I actually played it all in one day which is unheard of for me nowadays. It did help that it rained all frigging day tho. Great story and I can't wait for the next DLC.
|
Eh, Toff-you aren't by any chance a spam bot that achieved some form of sentience? I'm beginning to see a pattern here. :P
They could have toned down cut scenes a bit and added some more active skills, but overall, very impressive work here. |
Hmm, what level were you?
|
nope.

New Viper armor set is a good addition and crafted Ofieri saber is better than mastercrafted wolven steel sword. It's a pity that I can't use Ofieri armor set (there is "I wore Ofieri before it was cool" achievement) because it's a light armor and I will lose signs bonuses.

In other words, I'll be comparing FO4 with TW3 - core games. DLC is - DLC. Based on what I've heard it is (a few afternoons long miniexpansion) here goes a question. A few in fact. Is that DLC better than ME3 Citadel? Is it better than TES:5 Dragonborn? And is it better than FO:NV Old World Blues? Note that in my opinion TW3 easily wipes the floor with both ME3 and TES:5 vanilla game, but while better than FO:NV it can't nail it with ease. In all honestly, OWB was the best DLC for a game I've seen in my life, while Citadel and Dragonborn came very close to it. Can TW3 DLC compete against any of those three DLC? |
I have to finish it to be able to answer your questions joxer. It might be only about 10 hours long (allegedly) but I'm playing HoS in the same way as I would drink a glass of a good wine. One tasty sip at the time…
But, maybe, that's also an answer of sorts? :) |
It's not an answer of sorts really. The DLC trio I mentioned are also supposed to explore thoroughly and systematically just like TW3 first DLC. None of those are supposed to rush through.
|
Not quite what I meant… Carefull exploration is indeed a part of it, but I play it that way so I'm able to enjoy it for longer.

Eh, Dead Money is still one of my favorites. Always had a thing for bald chicks. :P

Downloaded the patch. 16 GB or so? So my Geralt is level 35. Probably too high?
I can always go to to an earlier save, I suppose. Dislike having two diverging timelines though. |
Yeah 1.10 was 10 GB just by itself. I would say 35 it to high to start (mine at 32 was borderline) and I agree with you about the diverging timelines. At least HoS has zero influence on the main game tho. Totally independent storyline.
|
I started HoS at the level 34 and I'm 37 now. I hope that I will be able to reach level 38 so I could try out the Viper set. Since Ofieri set (for those who would want to try it) is level 36 I don't consider level 32 as a borderline.
