Witcher III: 166 Goty awards

Since joxer seems to be slouching lately and rune asked for update, here it goes

Warning: The following post is satire based on various comments on this forum.

Wait a minute didn't the developer lie to consumers, offer to many unnecessary free DLC, and sell a dreaded expansion pass? I mean it was probably cut content anyway.

Also Fallout 4 deserved more you fools. I'm going to cry in my corner now.:bigcry:

Now back to my own opinion and I say the game deserved every award it received. I personally can't way to play Blood & Wine in 2016 & Cyberpunk 2077 in 2017.

crpgnut January 4th, 2016 22:55

Even though I prefer Fallout 4, it is hard to bash a Witcher 3 GOTY pick. I console myself with the fact that Fallout 4 has sold about 10 times as many copies as Witcher 3 already and it hasn't been out 2 months yet :D

JDR13 January 4th, 2016 23:26

These awards are nonsense! We all know quantity equals quality! Therefore something must be wrong! ;)

joxer January 4th, 2016 23:30

I don't have any problem with those numbers really.
TW3, FO4, MGS5, okay, every site has their taste and all three are quality games that are unique because of something inside and didn't carboncopy anyone else but themselves.

But Bloodborne is GOTY somewhere? Unbloodybelievable.
I wish I knew where to put those sites on my "banned from browser" list.

BoboTheMighty January 4th, 2016 23:52

Eh, Joxer what's your beef with Bloodborne?
When it comes to core mechanics, From soft games have a number of flaws that are being overlooked, but level design and lore exposition is something a lot of games can look up to.
I'd say of the other three, Bloodborne deserved way more… the same goes with Ori. Damn good game, that's being overlooked.

When I need a grind fix, I turn on League of Legends.
Available on PC, totally free and doesn't cover graphics inferiority by being too dark to see anything.

Because the quantity of GOtY awards from over a hundred top-notch gaming journalists defines quality. ;)

Let's start quoting meta-critic statistics for more internet wisdom. ;)

JDR13 January 5th, 2016 01:57

Since you insist… ;)

Average score of 93/100 from critics and a average user score of 9.1 from 5000+ user ratings.

And 9.8 according to imdb users, I wonder why would film/series lovers give it that high… ;)

Witcher 3 is the salvation for all of us, apparently. ;)

I don't do jawdrop over something easily, but this is stunning.

Honestly, if it wasn't superexpensive to do I'd have printed those, rammed and sent to Ovenall to decorate his wall. ;)

Meanwhile, on some internet sites GOTY awards, Bloodborne. Peh.

If so, then wow…

Playstation 4 it is then!

By now it's no secret that bloodborne is my GOTY. Got 320 hours in, beat it 4 times and got my platinum trophy. Working on the DLC now and co-oping bosses with my son.

Fallout 4- 40 hours in and running out of steam haven't been back to it in weeks maybe wait for some more mods or something.

Witcher 3 - only 10 hours of messing around still want to beat the 2nd one before seriously playing it.

Haven't played MGS5, waiting for a 75% off sale.

It's made of several regions, but transitioning between them is rare due to how immense they are. A couple of the regions (Novigrad, Skellige) are by themselves as large as many open-world games.

Other than travelling to a new region, yes, it's completely seamless. There's no loading when going in/out of buildings or dungeons, caves, etc. The only time you'll ever see a load screen is when you load a save or use fast travel.

That sounds glorious. :smitten:

Darn it, I really need to upgrade my system so I can start playing.

192, surprising IGN gave it one…59 %, at this rate it may end up beating TLOU.
