This is a game I think I would avoid the beta….granted I didn't buy into the beta program, but I wouldn't want to spoil it…I hope I'm allowed to respond to broken silence?

I will add…:

I'm pleased to announce that we'll be releasing the Early Access to our @kickstarter beta backers tomorrow.

Thrasher January 21st, 2016 03:31

Yeah, I can wait. I think… I'd rather not spoil the experience with an unfinished product.

I learned that lesson with Divinity: Original Sin.

I'm convinced that it would have been five times more fun for me if I'd waited till release. :(

I would have been pissed if I had played it. I waited until 2 weeks before release to play around with it.

Drithius January 21st, 2016 04:24

Odd, my Collector's Edition pledge didn't include beta access. No matter, I pretty much never play early access. Looking forward to this release (hopefully) later this year.

Sacred_Path January 21st, 2016 09:28

Will enjoy the story now, better mechanics later, I think.

Morrandir January 21st, 2016 11:11

Great to hear that all the unpaid voluntary betatesters will start their work tomorrow to make a better final product for me. ;)

voluntary? They paid to be betatesters :D

Sacred_Path January 21st, 2016 11:58

oh forget it, just checked my tier and it doesn't include beta access (at $125). I'm not gonna pay $20 extra just for the beta. o.O

Indeed, but I don't think that they're actually obligated to work now. :)

Sacred_Path January 21st, 2016 15:12

And let us not forget to thank the second wave of voluntary beta testers; the hordes of impatient people who will play the game at release ;).

Lynchden January 21st, 2016 20:05

I too am no fan of betas, but I see why some people like them. The question for me is play it when it releases or wait till winter of 2017 for the enhanced version. ;). I've waited this long, what's another year.

This looks so much better than poor PoE and so promising! Fantastic atmosphere from the gameplay sections in this video.

Monster animations are surprisingly AAA quality.

Unity 5 instead of 4.5 and 2+ year more development experience with the engine. Not too surprising that it is better. It's a larger dev team too I believe and now at $5m crowdfunding too.
