What is the direction here

So I was away for a week in Vegas for yearly meetings and fun. Then took my family away for a week of snow boarding at Mont Tremblant.

What is the direction here?

Who is posting the news here? It seems to change daily since Mr. Potato stop the great job he did here.

One of the best poster here hasn't been here for months, then comes back only to say he is never coming back.

There is a thread about change in how we are Moderated here, when there is no need in my option for that section on this site. Maybe there is, what do I know. It seems to breed disdain toward each other. Sometimes just taking about games movies and tv is all we should know about each other.

Anyways, just my thoughts.

The current news-posters are Myrthos, Silver and myself (we have the help of many contributors like Farflame, henriquejr, Eye, Couch, Kordanor …).
There's no daily change, Aubrielle came back last year after a rough personal year, posted articles and news, was treated poorly by several Watchers and quit again.

Dart feels that he's wasting too much time with RPGWatch and does other things now.

Myrthos thinks that if people are leaving this site, we are not attractive to new visitors as well. Something has to change. To make RPGWatch a friendlier, more tolerant place again, the board culture has to change a bit.

Anyways, just my thoughts.

I'm pretty sure the direction is northwest.

Myrthos February 27th, 2016 11:39

That's a chilly direction, perhaps south is a bit warmer.

Unless you are on the Southern Hemisphere, in which case you might be right.

Ripper February 27th, 2016 11:47

Northwest of the Netherlands would be… the UK! Come on in - the water's bloody freezing.

Eye February 27th, 2016 12:48

Hm, I suggest we go up.
:)

Sacred_Path February 27th, 2016 16:52

full speed ahead and onto the reefs.

One Direction?

BoboTheMighty February 27th, 2016 19:21

We're on the Highway to Hell…Highwaaay to Hell!
Livin' easy, lovin' free
Season passes on a one way ride…

joxer February 27th, 2016 21:08

Season passes? Yea, those have a hymn. Lousy one, but still:

I didn't know our forum member makes season passes. :D

To be fair, that was Joxer bait. And it worked!…it's so easy. :P

The south has indeed been warmer. It's very nice. Winter is usually my game playing months but it's been so spring like so I've been outside a lot. I haven't played a single game since F4 because of the cali weather. About to go to a BBQ at a park in a few minutes also. It's OK to be jealous. :-p

Welcome to Norway, the land of pibburs.

Pibbur who admits that at the time of writing and for the forseeable future there is only one. Pibbur.

Hah!!!!

Pibbur who works best at temperatures below 20. C, not the despicable F.

Toff February 29th, 2016 17:06

Geeze, 20 C is pretty chilly to me. Give me 24 C at least so I can be comfortable.

Yes, and no. I'll take the temperature by all means, but not if it gets overly sticky. After all, you're in Houston where the temp and humidity stay in triple digits. ;)

I was being silly and just guessing the I might be nw of the actual RPGWatch server. I'm not sure if that's true though. Definitely west, but I'm not exactly sure on the N/S side.

Myrthos February 29th, 2016 23:57

You're to the South-West of the server :)

Dude, quick guide :) .

1) Open Start Menu and select 'Run'
2) Type in 'cmd' to bring up the command prompt.
3) Type 'ping rpgwatch.com' or 'tracert rpgwatch.com'.
4) Enter the resulting IP in e.g. GEO IP Tool

Result:

RPGWatch ist ein Berliner
