I backed this one as this game deserves to be made. The first one was pretty good and this one looks to be improving pretty much everything.

Yeah. I backed this on Kickstarter, and doubled my pledge for the campaign on Fig. This game deserves to be made. In some ways I feel like this series is the true spiritual successor to System Shock.

Yeah I can relate to that. These guys have ambition and drive and I've always wanted to play a die hard like game. I didn't imagine it would be an rpg (I was thinking shooter) but an rpg on reflection is even better.

Also whoever came up with the super backer concept is a genius. I get a $5 discount on my tier and free consortium games forever. Who wouldn't want to back again.

First stretch goal announced.

Why have they moved to Fig? I've never heard of it before - what is the advantage over Kickstarter?

I like the concept, but I'm not sure I want to sign up to yet another of these crowdfunding platforms…

Edit: eh, so I'm basically buying shares in the game somehow…. nice idea I guess, but I think I'll pass for the minute. It looks like they'll reach their goal, so I'll wait and see at release.

You don't have to invest; thats just an option for people who want to see a return more than the game itself. For myself I'm just pledging like you do on kickstarter for the basic game tier.

Because KS failed. Fig also does not take 10% cut but takes a % of sales afterwards. Fig also helps you with marketing of the game for that cut.
Also Fig allows both backers and investors.

Ahh, ok. Thanks for the information about Fig.

I backed the original Consortium and it still sat in my backlog… if I've played and enjoyed it by the time the Tower comes out I'll pick it up.

I've backed this as a Super Backer.

If anyone is interested:
