Still have to play the first one, but this demo looks very good! Especially for people who prefer a more classic approach to XCOM.

I still haven't played the first one either.

Although the combat looks cool, I feel like it isn't well-documented on how to play in game.

But I'll have to try it at some point ..

You play it like original Xcom games. Xenonauts is very awesome game, I had more fun playing it that new Xcom 1. I am looking forward to X2

I couldn't get into Xenonauts. I can appreciate the greater complexity compared to XCOM EU, but XCOM was just more fun to play for me.

If you could combine the graphics and production values of XCOM with the complexity of Xenonauts, we'd have one hell of a game.

Xenonauts is still in my queue (just too many games). I still want to play it but I'll say the graphics in this demo look much improved! I may end up skipping 1 and waiting for 2.

Meh the game is still a long way from being released. As the developer will start a crowdfunding campaign to raise cash for further development sometime this year.

Here's hoping he creates more than four maps this time!

The modder who expanded the original map selection should have got a cut of the sales. Without his maps the game would've been unplayable.

Just started the game for the first time using the community extension mod. Playing on normal it is brutal. First ground mission lost 3/4th of my squad…

Tried the Xenonauts 2 - demo and its surprisingly good! 3D graphics, sound and animations are way better than their mediocre 2D GUI.

After Long War 2, I probably will be out of steam for TB combat games for a while, but I definitely need to play through Xenonauts at least once.

The GUI looks like crap though!

I really liked Xenonauts, much better for my Xcom fix than the XCOM games. Although I like those though, Xenonauts is much truer to the originals while still adding and expanding the formula.

As a person that played most Xcom games since 1994, I find LW2 for Xcom 2 better than vanilla Xenonauts. But Xenonauts is way better than vanilla Xcom 2.

How would you compare Long War 2 to the Community Extended Mod for Xenoonauts?
