Is there any news about Squadron 42?

Depends on what you heard about it last time :)

I believe they've said it will be out this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Personally, I expect S42 to take at least another year - and my own personal estimate for Star Citizen MVP is late 2019 or 2020.

Mocapping for Squadron 42 is supposed to be done, most of the ships they wanted in it are done (some need revision I believe), female armor/model/animations aren't 100% yet, AI is not done yet.

Planets/environmental arts aren't done and they had to hire new environmental artists after Behavior (a sub-contractor) decided to stop working on Star Citizen to work on their own game last December. That slowed down asset creation a lot.

Chance of SQ42 releasing in 2017…very low.

"Sensors detect a vaporware cloud dead ahead, Captain."

"Shields up!" ;)

They're waiting to create a planet based on Grimoire but that developer is tied up with a small bug that may take a day or two to fix ;)

A lot of naysayers are in for quite a surprise once this finally gets released :)
