Well, that sounds like a proper camping system straight from my PnP memories. Depends on implementation of course, but I'm getting the sense that they're trying to do it right - instead of that arbitrary bullshit in PoE that was just annoying and a waste of time, instead of immersive and a motivator for caution.

I know it's a little off topic, but we're about due for a ToEE:EE

Oh god, yes. Even further off-topic, but if they did do a ToEE:EE, that is one I would appreciate some new content in. I think most would agree the game lacks a bit of content dispersed throughout, in terms of quests, at least.

With an extra off-topic caveat that if new content is made, it should follow the ToEE style, that is, no hand-holding, dialogue is different based on gender/class and so on.

Let's just get EE's of all classic CRPGs, plz. NWN, Arcanum, ToEE, VtM:B…okay I'll stop. :)

Seems this game is going for an even more "old-school pen and paper" style RPG than other modern isometric RPGs. This could rise up my anticipation list very quickly. :)

And let's be honest, we have seen stretch goals of talking swords for god's sake.

And fishing. Never forget the fish.

Stretch goals are often abused as a way to blackmail consumers. I remember Project Eternity had something like 3 races and 5 classes in the "base game". That was shamefully pathetic.
