We are here and then we are not…
Somebody tries to hack our server at the moment with a high frequency, which causes the server to give up and automatically restart itself. Not much to do about this, we'll just have to sit it out.
Besides that I also feel very popular now with receiving over a 1000 mails in a short time :) |

hopefully those idiots will go away. I just don't see the point of hacking this site :p |

You need to get some DDoS protection :D
|
Yeah right. Like we can afford the additional reverse proxy servers.
|
I guess video games are now considered evil now, along with most other things…too much white supremacy and Nazism involved! :p
|
I bet it's because of my latest entry in the "politics" sub-forum.
|
Your ISP can't block them for you?
|
I don't know if they are offering it as a service, but if they do, it will probably be expensive and I doubt it is worth it.
|
It was probably that Cleve guy. He doesn't like the way DArt and Fluent have been talking about Grimoire.
|
They are just waiting for our Grimoire review.
Also, 1000 emails Myrthos? Did you subscribe to a Russian dating service? |
Just someone trying to do SQL injections. That gives me an email every time.
|
So we were gone for a bit I noticed. As I am at Gamescom I could not fix it, I assume Arhu did. The "funny" thing is that with every SQL query that fails I get an email. This allows me to optimize things and see if someone is trying SQL injections. However if MySQL is down, as was the case here, I get an email with every visitor trying to load the page. I have over 12.000 now :)
Perhaps I should find time somewhere to not send them in this specific situation… |
Could be an inside job. We may have a Codexian agent at work here.
|
Last year it went wrong a week after Gamescom. Now just before Gamescom.
Could be a coincidence, but perhaps there is a conspiracy somewhere. |
$20/month for basic DDoS protection here:

"Now you see us, now you don't."
(After Sir Terry Pratchett) |
And this is only with DDOS attacks, imagine what'd happen if they were DWindows attacks! ok I'll show myself out.
|
DLinux attacks would be worse, we are running on that.
|
Seems the injection was partially successful ? This thread cannot be looked at : https://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37369
Plus, the person there could make this thread without being there at all ( aka being "not registered". |
