That graphics/music = was this recorded on Nokia 3310?

It's like they tried to do 2D pencil graphics with 3D objects, lol. Stardew Valley certainly looks prettier.

SV is a copy of HM. HM had already existed for many, many years when SV stole everything from it and made a game for PC under their own name. Well, I guess the developers of HM are also to blame, they've ignored PC for all this time and that's what they've got… Now they're being called 'copies', even though they're the ones who got completely ripped off. :-)

P.S. Afaik the current HM series is not the same HM, some other company got (unfairly?) the name and releases its own (inferior) games under it, while the original company had to switch the series' name to Story of Seasons. It's a mess.

Stole everything?

It's a genre. If everything after HM was considered a "ripoff" then this very website we're on right now would be called "RipoffWatch".

Harvest Moon is a genre now. The mental contortions people are able of. Brilliant.
If only all those superior minded people could keep in mind that there are still simple minded people out there who are unable to torture obvious points as that.

HM never was a genre. It did not happen.

If so, then SV is not an original piece of work. Yet it is introduced on this site as an evidence of the originality provided by the crowdfunded scene.

So is the objective of this game to grow the tallest bean stalk ?

You really need to work on your comprehension skills. They are abysmal. It sabatoges your valid points.

SV was not crowd funded and it was based on HM. Eric the author has stated this many many many times.

Stardew Valley originally began as a modern fan-made alternative to the Harvest Moon series, as he felt that "the series had gotten progressively worse after Harvest Moon: Back to Nature". Unable to find a satisfactory replacement, Barone began to create a game similar to the series, stating that his intent was "to address the problems I had with Harvest Moon" and that "no title in the series ever brought it all together in a perfect way". Barone was also inspired by other games, including Animal Crossing, Rune Factory, Minecraft, and Terraria, adding features seen in those titles such as crafting, quests, and combat.

As for ripping off ideas…

There is nothing new under the sun. Get over it and enjoy life.

This product was depicted as an example of the originality provided by the crowdfunded scene on this site.

Dude, your posts always sound like they've been fed through 10 online translators.

At least, they are not a copy of previously written comments.

That is missing the point: if there is nothing new with ripping off ideas, it was deemed a capital offense.
Societies that were judged as non innovative were wiped so that the resources they used to consume could be allocated to societies that were said to innovate.
Millions of human lifes destroyed in the process.

So yes, nothing new in ripping off ideas, except the new bit: innovate or die.

The present is the continuity of the past, it can not be written off.
