Larian Studios Teaser

What are we looking at there? I can see the Baldurs Gate III reference in the data, but where did the image come from?
Edit: Ah - I see - it's metadata from the first image. Interesting indeed! |

PC Gamer confirm there are references to Baldurs Gate III in the metadata. Could still be a hoax though. I imagine they expected people to look at that data, I doubt it's an oversight. It will be interesting to see what this reveal actually is… |
Yeah, that would be a sloppy error to blow the game by forgetting to scrub the metadata. I suspect it was deliberate, for the column inches.
|
Honestly, I would rather have OS3 than BG3 :-/
|
I would love either D3 or BG3.
|
What BG3?
They're doing the third Gamebryo game. Divinity III. |
I honestly can't see anyone anyone else left these days who would be better at BG3. Maybe MicroObisidiSoft.
|
With a fair wind, I think they could do a fine job of it. I would prefer Forgotten Realms' setting and rules to the Larian stuff, myself.
|
|
Who owns the license to BG these days? It's an official D&D game. I suppose the next one could use different rules, but who knows?
I'm kind of tired of the forgotten realms, though. It hits my nostalgia buttons, but they really squeezed the source dry with BG1&2. As long as it's not snow and Vikings, I'll be happy. |

Give me dragon. Plz.
:/ |
Well what do you know the Codex was right.O_O
Even I speculated Larian was the developer a few months back. |
Is it officially confirmed, or just the metadata?

Or a turn based BG3 :P |
They have multiple studios now so I highly doubt you wont see an OS III at some point in the future. It's good to try something different then miking one franchise for years.
|
Yes.
No, wait. Delicious dragon milk. Do another Ego Draconis, damnit. |

I loved the first third of D:OS but I got tired of the long, drawn-out battles after a while. It's just a matter of personal taste, but I really don't want to sink 45 minutes into one battle only to have it go wrong. The way I play is, if it looks like I'm losing, I'll reload rather than play another 30 minutes to watch my team fail completely. Because I know it's going to be another 30-45 minutes or more to replay the same battle again—at a minimum.
Apparently there's a huge audience for the system they made though. |
Put me in that category that would prefer to see a Divinity three before a Baldur's Gate three or Original Sin three.
|
Well I'd prefer another Dragon Knight game like Divinity II instead.
Yep I loved that game. As nothing beats a flying dragon reigning down destruction. |
Well I'd prefer Divine Gate 3: Beyond the Divinity of the Dragon of the Amn Knight Saga.
